Thanks for a Great Fall Season

Millbrae AYSO's fall season is finished.  Nearly 600 kids played on over 50 teams during the season. Some of theU12 and U14 teams will continue on to the Area Tournament. The Millbrae Cup was played over the last two weekends of the season and provided the usual excitement and upsets. Congratulations to the following teams that won the Millbrae Cup in their respective divisions:

Millbrae Azul - Under 14 Girls
Hot Tamales - Under 14 Boys
Millbrae Mayhem - Under 12 Girls
Green Hulks - Under 12 Boys
Pirates of Millbrae - Under 10 Girls
Furious Tigers - Under 10 Boys

100% Volunteer Organization

Millbrae AYSO is a 100% volunteer organization. That means everyone you see out there (including the referees) are volunteering their time for the benefit of the kids.

We could always use more volunteers. You may be surprised to learn that it is volunteers, not the city or recreation department, that sets up the fields. We go out there every Friday afternoon and paint the lines on the fields. We are out there at 8:00am on Saturday morning setting up the goals and putting out trash/recycling containers. Then our volunteers staff the snack bar, referee 20+ games and stick around to put everything away at the end of the day.

What can you do to help? Just give us a call or talk with a board member at registration and on the fields and let us know what you would like to do to help. We don't ask for a huge commitment, just a little help to make the program work.

Millbrae AYSO has almost 600 players that range in age from 4 years old to 18 years.

Our program is strong and getting stronger!

Referee and Coach Clinics

One of the great things about being a volunteer in AYSO is that you can receive an amazing amount of training for free. If you would like to become a coach or referee, there are clinics being conducted in and around Millbrae year-round. Please use the Referee and Coach tabs to get information about upcoming clinics.

About Us

Millbrae AYSO

Region 145 - Area 2B

Millbrae AYSO has been providing a high-quality youth soccer experience for more than 20 years. Millbrae is located next to the San Francisco Airport in San Mateo County.

Teams in the U5-U10 divisions play other Millbrae AYSO teams while teams in the U12-U19 divisions play their games against teams from Area 2B and 2N.

AYSO's Six Philosophies

AYSO's philosophies are living tenets that separate it from other sports organizations. They are Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.

Everyone Plays®

Our program's goal is for kids to play soccer so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game. It’s no fun to spend the game on the bench…and that’s no way to learn soccer!

Balanced Teams

Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible because it’s more fun and a better learning experience when teams of similar ability play. It allows for each player to gain the experience of a wide variety of teammates of different skill levels.

Open Registration

Our program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing. There are no elimination try-outs and nobody gets cut.

Positive Coaching

Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment for the players and leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players. A coach can be one of the most influential people in a child’s life, so AYSO requires they create a positive experience for every boy and girl.

Good Sportsmanship

We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.

Player Development

We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
